ABC Bank (Uganda), whose full name is ABC Capital Bank, is a commercial bank in Uganda. The bank provides banking services to large corporations, medium-sized businesses, small business enterprises as well as individuals. As of January 2010, the exact size of the bank's assets is not publicly known.

History

ABC Bank (Uganda) started operations in 2009, when ABC Bank (Kenya) took over the operations of Capital Finance Corporation Limited, a Tier III Ugandan Financial Institution. As of January 2010, ABC Bank (Uganda) is listed as one of the twenty-three (23) licensed commercial banking institutions in the country.[2]

Ownership

ABC Bank (Kenya) is an investor in ABC Bank (Uganda).[3] It has been reported in the Ugandan media that ABC Bank Kenya bought 40% of Capital Finance Corporation, a Tier III Ugandan financial institution in 2008.[4] As of January 2010, the shareholding in ABC Capital Bank, is summarized in the table below:
